Rock The Pantry 2024!
Swordpaw Studios will be collecting needed items for the Oakwood Food Pantry at upcoming shows around the region. Hear great local music, support your local pantry.
The Food Pantry at Oakwood provides more than three days worth of meals up to two times a month for families in Rensselaer County, mostly coming from in and around the Oakwood neighborhood. Weekly in 2024, the pantry has been serving 50-60 households per week, with 1000-1200 meals provided every Saturday. The number of folks coming to our pantry continues to grow, while vital funding we rely on to purchase food has been cut.
Needed Items:
Keep in mind, if you wouldn’t eat it, don’t donate it. No expired food, no dents or open containers.
Soup (Canned or boxed)
Personal Hygiene (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, menstrual products)
Cleaning Products (all purpose cleaner, dish soap, laundry detergent)
